The state government is planning to develop a knowledge economy zone (KEZ) in Amaravati capital. The KEZ will help to improve economy of the state using knowledge.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu decided to develop the KEZ with the cooperation of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Harvard university and World economic forum.

The CM decided to complete the first phase of the project in ten acres by next year and complete the total project in hundred acres of land in capital region by 2019.

The state government is planning to link the knowledge for development of economy. It may be noted that the state achieved 10.99 growth rate and further planning to push up the growth rate using the services of KEZ. The govt will take the help of world economists and develop the centre as world economy hub. The government will provide necessary infrastructure for the KEZ.

The government is also planning to set up KEZs in all the districts in the state. Chief Minister directed the collectors to prepare proposals for the KEZs in districts.
