Electronics major Sony India said it is going to start a new manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh very soon. Sony India Managing Director Kenichiro Hibi has visited Vijayawada and visited the Sony Branch in Vijayawada. Addressing a press conference, Mr.Hibi said that Sony has a wonderful growth in India, particularly in televisions and high definition cameras.
Mr.Hibli said that, we are willing to start up a manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh, we are communicating with headquarters about the investment and timing to start. He said that, Vijayawada Sony Branch is contributing upto 5% of total sales all over India and it is almost catching up the metro cities sales in India.
