The first private university in Amaravati, SRM University was inaugurated by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday.

The university has been established near Neerukonda village on the 200 acres of land allocated, with an investment of Rs.3000 crore.

India's first international blue eight-line synthetic athletic has been inaugurated at the Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) in Guntur district where ANU hosted Amaravati's first national-level sporting event.

A majority of the countries across the World have begun using blue Synthetic athletic tracks instead of the conventional brick-coloured ones. ANU is the first institute in India to introduce Such a track.

Blue synthetic tracks may be used for a period of 15-20 years with little maintenance. After they wear out, only the top layer needs to be replaced.

Central Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports had approved ANU's proposal to lay a synthetic athletic track on the university campus under the Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS).
An amount of Rs.5 crore had been sanctioned for the laying of the eight lane track. The flood lights had also been installed in accordance With international standards, at a cost of Rs.7.92 crores.

The students of ANU wish for the University to be developed as the premier institute of Amaravati, in Sports and in education.

Master Plan Plan for the development of the islands in the Krishna River is grabbed by international company 'Studio Pad'. Along with Bhavani Island, Sand Island and Plantation Islands have come up with Agreement with APTDC. Studio Pad company is going to design a master plan with suitable plans for tourism development. Within two months the company should submit the master plan.

In the first phase, the priority would be give to Bhavani Island. Already Bhavani Island is being developed with an estimated cost of Rs.4 crore. Beautification works are going on in Bhavani Island. Apart from this, the government is planning to develop Bhavani island in the Sentosa style of Singapore. There are plans to improve tourism. Reports are designed with a combination of tourism, pleasure, excitement, entertainment, pleasure, playoffs and food.

Development plans will be based on the geographical conditions of the rest of the islands of Sand Island and Plantation Islands.

APNRT in collaboration with APEITA has brought seven IT companies to Amaravati in continuation of promoting IT/ITES infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the IT companies today at K-Business Spaces in Auto Nagar, Vijayawada.

Around 280 jobs would be created by these new companies. The seven IT companies are Inspire Labs Technologies, Supreme Netsoft Pvt Ltd, Nveira Technologies, Steinmetz Integrated Learning Solutions, E-Learn Solutions Pvt Ltd, Dr Computer, Cresol Infoserv.

NDA presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind is likely to visit Vijayawada on July 4. The sources say he will meet MLAs of Andhra Pradesh to seek their support to his candidature in the Presidential election. Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu will accompany him.

Already the higher officials of the government have received information on Kovind's Visit, the sources said. During his tour, Ram Nath Kovind will meet Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu. Other details of his visit are not yet known.
