A young guy from Jaggayyapeta from Krishna District, who is brain dead, gives life to five other, by donating organs. Vamsikrishna from Jaggayyapet in Krishna district was working as a network administrator at Mandava Engineering College and he fell sick with fever and severe headache. He was admitted in Andhra Hospital in Vijayawada. But, his condition has become serious and declared brain dead on Wednesday.

Vamiskrishna's parents Venugopal Rao and Rajeshwari came forward to donate all the useful parts of their son's body through Jeevan Dan Trust. Eyes were donated to Vasan Eye Hospital in Vijayawada and two kidneys were given to two different hospitals in Vijayawada.

The heart and liver were sent to Hyderabad through a green channel from the hospital to Gannavaram airport. A green channel is arranged in this kind of situations to ensure the entire route is clear during and the traffic is cleared. Heart was sent to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad and Liver to Yashoda Hospital.

Gannavaram Airport, which is the only airport of the capital region Amaravati, is surprising everyone with its growth rate. The trend of increase in passenger traffic is growing every year, post bifurcation.

The first half of 2016-2017 financial year proved this once again. Gannavaram Airport registered a growth of 71.38 % compared to same period last year. As many as 3,19,725 passengers travelled to various destinations from Gannavaram Airport, compared to 1,86,558, in the same period in 2015-2016. Whereas for the complete financial year in 2015-2016, the total number of passengers travelled are 4,04,464.

The second quarter (July - September) in 2016-2017, a total of 1,69,558 passengers travelled from Gannavaram Airport, compared to 94,455 in the same period last year, which is a growth of 79.12%

A total of 5,764 air craft movements are seen in the first half of 2016-2017 (April to September), compared to 3,332 in the same period last year. In the same way, 3,057 aircraft movements are seen in the second quarter (July - September) in the year 2016-2017, compared to 1,711 for the same period last year, which is a growth of 78.67%.

Addition of the new airlines and new destinations have helped in the growth and this is expected to be the same trend in the future. Once the new domestic terminal and cargo are also ready, Gannavarm Airport will see a tremendous growth.

Vellore Institute of Technology University, one of the premier institutions in India, is going to be the first private university which is going to come in Andhra Pradesh Capital, Amaravati.

VIT has already agreed to setup its campus in Amaravati and Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), has already allotted the land to the university in Inavolu in the capital region. VIT University is going to invest Rs.3400 crores for its campus in Amaravati. This campus can accommodate approximately upto 32000 students in the coming 10 years.

On this regard, VIT University is going to lay foundation to the campus in Involu village on November 3rd. VIT University has called on chief minister and invited to the foundation ceremony. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Central Minister Venkayya Naidu, will attend the foundation ceremony on November 3rd.
