The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) will conduct Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam in a big way at PWD Grounds in Vijayawada from July 2 to 9.

The event is meant to replicate all the paid rituals (Arjitha Sevas) performed from dawn to dusk at Tirumala viz., Suprabhata Seva, Thomala, Archana, Nivedana, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and Ekanta Seva, and bring them before the devotees at remote locations, with the grandeur and spiritual ecstasy intact.

After receiving overwhelming response from the public for its previous events in various parts of the State, the TTD management chose to hold the event in Vijayawada. A replica of Tirumala temple will be set up at PWD Grounds for Venkatesvara Vaibhavotsavam.

The AP Innovation Society is all set to establish a drone manufacturing unit in Visakhapatnam in two months. Delhi-based robotics and drone technology company Omni Present will join hands with the society in the project. With an estimated budget of Rs1.25 crore, the drone manufacturing unit in Visakhapatnam will be ready for production by September.

All the establishment costa nd employees' salaries would be provided by the State government and the company would recruit people from the State to run the unit. The drones manufactured in this unit would be sold at a cost ranging from Rs.1.5 lakh to 4 lakh. High-end drones with face mapping features and in person tracking abilities will be manufactured at the Vizag unit.

In fact, every department of the State government requires drones and officials hope that a large number of drones can be supplied to the State government itself.

Apart from the drone manufacturing unit, State Innovation Society is also coming up with Incubators, accelerators and Innovation centres across the State. Establishment of an incubation centre at Visakhapatnam is also under consideration. The centre is being established in partnership with big companies in the telecom industry, electronics, fabrication and manufacturing sectors.

Union minister of railways Suresh Prabhu announced that the Union government sanctioned Rs.2,680 crore funds for the new railway line to new capital Amaravati.

He asserted on the need for new railway line to the new capital Amaravati and assured about cooperation to AP towards construction of Amaravati railway line Connecting Vijayawada and Guntur.

Guntur MP Galla Jayadev asserted the need for railway development in Guntur district in view of new capital Amaravati establishment and asked Mr Prabhu to initiate measures for the development of railway stations in Guntur district.

The entire Andhra Pradesh will be under surveillance of the State government, which will use cloud-based IP CCTW surveillance cameras for the purpose. In addition to the existing 5,159 surveillance cameras, another 14,770 surveillance cameras will be installed to from a Statewide Surveillance Platform.

A decision to this effect was taken at the State Cabinet meeting held at the Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi on Thursday. Andhra Pradesh State Fibernet Limited (APSFL) will execute the project at an estimated cost of Rs.989 crore.

APSFIL will create an AP Surveillance Cloud, in association with the Statewide Fibre Network infrastructure Network Operation Centre, located on Andhra University campus in Visakhapatnam. Already High Speed Optic Fibre Network Infrastructure with 23,000 km long cables on electric poles is ready.

The Statewide Surveillance Platform will be useful in provision of effective security, regulation of traffic and real time monitoring, maintenance of sanitation and other aspects. The platform will be connected to AP Fibre Network and two data centres, one in Visakhapatnam and another in Amaravati will be setup.

The centres will have video analytics software application portfolio. In addition, there will be command control centres in all the 13 districts. A new Real Time Government (RTG) Department will be set up and the Real Time Society will work under it. It will act as an inter link between the government and people.

The Cabinet approved appointment of adequate staff for the Command Control Centres at State and district levels and for the RTG.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials concerned to identify construction companies and invite global tenders for the construction of Assembly as the designs have almost been finalised.

In a tele-conference on Thursday with senior officials of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and other departments, he wanted the officials to start the process pertaining to construction of the government buildings once the master plan is approved.

They were asked to focus on construction of Central Axis Bridge on Krishna River to directly link the Assembly Complex with the other end. He said that the Cultural Centre should be constructed depicting the traditions and heritage of the State. He added that he wanted the new revised designs for the High Court complex to be submitted at the earliest.

Officials were asked to prepare a detailed project report to the Centre regarding the construction of Government Complexes as 862.53 acres land is available out of 961.10 acres.

Transco officials were directed to focus on construction of a 400 KV and a 220 KV Sub-station at Kondaveeti Vagu to supply un-interrupted power to Amaravati.

He stressed the need for integrating blue and green and follow am uniform pattern of construction of buildings. All the constructions should be done keeping in mind the future requirements.

The CM also emphasised the need for involvement of people at every level of capital city construction and opined that their feedback is very important for constructing a world class capital, which is people's capital.

He said all the projects taken up in the capital region should be completed as per the deadlines. Officials were asked to see to it that people are not under the impression that the capital region will just contain government offices like Assembly, Secretariat, High Court and Raj Bhavam.

"They should be educated that it is much more than that. The capital will be the future hub of educational and health institutions and will have industries," he said.
