ప్రధాన మంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీకి ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు లేఖ రాశారు. జగన్‌ కేసును ఎన్‌ఐఏకి అప్పగించడంపై అభ్యంతరం వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ మోదీకి బాబు లేఖ రాశారు. కోడి కత్తి కేసు ఎన్ఐఏ పరిధిలోకి ఎలా వస్తుందని నిలదీశారు. ఫెడరల్‌ స్పూర్తికి విరుద్ధంగా వ్యవహరించారని చంద్రబాబు మండిపడ్డారు. గతంలో గుజరాత్ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నరేంద్ర మోదీ చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలను కూడా ఈ సందర్భంగా బాబు ప్రస్తావించారు. టెర్రరిస్టుల చర్యలు అదుపులోకి పెట్టేందుకు జాతీయ భద్రతా సంస్థను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నామని చెబుతున్న కేంద్రం, రాష్ట్రాల హక్కులను హరించివేస్తోందని మోదీ చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలను లేఖలో బాబు పేర్కొన్నారు. అలాగే 2011లో లక్నోలో జరిగిన బీజేపీ జాతీయ కార్యవర్గ సమావేశంలో ఎన్‌ఐఏకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఏకగ్రీవ తీర్మానం చేసిన అంశాన్ని బాబు లేఖలో ప్రస్తావించారు. దేశ రక్షణ, ఉగ్రవాద సంబంధిత కేసుల్లో మాత్రమే ఎన్ఐఏ దర్యాప్తు చేయాలనే నిబంధన ఉన్నదని బాబు తన లేఖలో గుర్తు చేశారు. ఇదే సందర్భంలో, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని, మే 2014న, మోడీ ప్రధాని అయిన తరువాత, చెన్నై రైల్వే స్టేషన్ లో జరిగిన బాంబు దాడిలో, ఏపి వ్యక్తి చనిపోతే, ఎన్ఐఏ విచారణ కోరితే, కేంద్రం తిరస్కరించిన విషయాన్నీ, అలాగే, మొన్న అరకు ఎమ్మల్యే, మాజీ ఎమ్మల్యే హత్య చేయబడితే, ఎన్ఐఏ విచారణ జరుగుతున్న తీరును కూడా ఉత్తరంలో రాసారు. అంత పెద్ద సంఘటనలకు లేని ఎన్ఐఏ, కోడి కత్తి దాడి కోసం, చిన్న గాయంతేనే, ఎందుకు అని, దీని వెనుకు పొలిటికల్ క్విట్ ప్రోకో ఉందా అంటూ ప్రశ్నించారు.

Without a constitutional amendment, in the subject of law and order, it has taken away the lawmaking power of the states,”
"It is also relevant to mention that in May, 2014 there was a blast at Chennai Central Railway Station wherein a software Engineer from Andhra Pradesh was killed and 14 others were injured and the proposal of the Central Government for the NIA to investigate the said incident was resisted by the Tamil Nadu Government and the Union Government under your leadership sustained the objections. Strangely, the trivial rather insignificant issue at the Visakhapatnam Airport is now being projected as a flagship case to be investigated by the NIA for obvious political quid pro quo the less spoken about it, the better. It is equally disturbing to look at the haste with which the FIR is registered in less than 24 hours by the NIA pursuant to the directions of the Central Government for a case of negligible injury when compared to the delay and indifference exhibited by the centre in dealing with the issue of assassination of two MLAs, one sitting and another former, at Visakhapatnam by the extremists in September, 2018."
