National Games of 2019 are going to be held in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) general body, which met in Guwahati on Wednesday, has agreed to allot the 37th National Games to Andhra Pradesh. Taking chief minister Chandrababu Naidu's experience in organising the 2002 National Games in Hyderabad and the Afro-Asian Games in 2003, The Indian Olympic Association favoured AP's bid. It will help in bringing world-class infrastructure to the new capital.

State government would require at least Rs 1,000 crore to create infrastructure to host the National Games, including stadiums, equipment and accommodation. Around 10,000 athletes from 33 disciplines would take part in the games. The National Games will help get a branding for the new capital city, Amaravati

Mithra Auto Agencies, a well know Maruti Car dealer in Vijayawada, has opened its new Maruti showroom in Madhu Malaxmi Chambers, Mogalrajpuram. Maruti Suzuki Senior Vice President, Tarun Garg has inaugurated the new showroom. Mithra Agencies CEO Cheruvu Srinivas, Joint Commissioner of Vigilance and Road Safety, SAV Prasada Rao also participated in the inaguration.

The newly launched showroom is in 8000 square feet area, which would cater to the needs of growing Vijayawada and Amaravati Capital.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone for Christian Bhavan at Adavi Takkellapadu in Guntur District. Chief Minister also participated in Semi-Christmas celebrations

The Christian Bhavan will act as head office of A.P. Christian Minority Corporation. Also this is open for marriages, public meetings and other events for Christians. The State Government has initially released Rs.10 crore for Christian Bhavan. CM Promised to complete the work by next Christmas. The CM said that his government offered festival special ration to the poor from all communities.

Borewell vignan university

S.Rajesh, M.Tech student from Vignan University, Vadlamudi invented a device "Prosthetic Borewell Rescue System" which will help in rescuing trapped kids who fell in Borewells. Than the traditional method of rigging a parallel tunnel, this device helps to take out the child with the help of grippers. The system works with manipulator, sensors, controllers and power conversion unit. The sensors help to detect the condition of the individual trapped in the well, temperature, pressure etc..

Rajesh also won two awards of developing this "Prosthetic Borewell Rescue System". He got Silver Leaf Certificate in International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Mechanical Sciences and won second prize in National Conference on Advances in Mechanical and Material Science
