Government will discuss with Builders and other section of people and declare the guidelines by Monday. Chief Minister has asked collectors to take necessary measures that, sand should not be transported to other states.

The Krishna district administration is planning to introduce smart bus services in Vijayawada city soon with the cooperation of New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEITDO) of Japan.

District Collector Babu A and Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian discussed with the representatives of NEITDO here on Thursday over implementation of smart bus services in the city as part of smart city programme. Speaking on the occasion, the collector said that a survey was conducted in 23,000 houses along Bandar Road to identify the necessities of people on transportation.

NEITDO team members led by Fusison said that they have implemented a traffic control project in Pune. He said that with the introduction of the smart buses, passengers would get the information about time to reach his destination, traffic on the roads and more on a LED screen.

A student of Vignan's University and Vadlamudi in Guntur District had invented a contemporary pollution free duster and applied for its patent rights.

The student Tirumala Vasu, pursuing M.Tech in Vignan University designed and made the duster to avoid spread of light weight dust particles inside the classroom while erasing the blackboard. Explaining his design, Vasu said that the duster consists of cotton cloth wound around a roller, a cylindrical chamber with fine brushes covering 75 percent of the roller and the rest is kept outside the cylinder to collect the dust particles efficiently.

The chalk pieces used in classrooms are made from plaster of paris and calcium carbonate.
