Mega Food Park AndhraTo serve Amaravati, the new Andhra Pradesh Capital as the "Economic Powerhouse", government begin the process by allotting industries in this region. In this process of industrial corridor, AP Government has allotted 460 acres in Thotapalli Village in Agiripalli Mandal in Krishna District for establishing a Mega Food Park. This is a big boost to food processing sector in Krishna district. This is allotted in APIIC (AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation), for establishing a Mega Food Park. The land is allotted at a price of Rs6.00 lakh per acre.

Central Government also has given its approval and already allotted Rs50 crore as a grant-in-aid for the project. Rest of the funds will be mobilized by the State government. The total cost of the Mega Food Park is estimated to be Rs.150 crore.

Below are the conditions:

  • The land should be utilized for the purpose within three years of the orders.
  • Water Bodies in the existing land should not be disturbed
  • APIIC should submit an annual report before March 31 on the progress of utilization to the District Collector
